...I met a little girl the other day at a birthday party J was at, she was 8. She was wise beyond her years, probably knew a bunch of stuff I didn't or would never know. We were talking about homeschooling and I asked her what church she went to. A natural question I thought as most kids around this area that are homeschooled are involved in church. She answered me very quickly and said "I'm not religious". Eight! I felt so sad for her, clearly she was very gifted and able to make some decisions on her own but I wondered if she had ever even been told about JESUS with a chance to make up her own mind.
...That same party happened to be on Super Bowl Sunday and yes during the game. The next morning at school I heard a couple of parents joking about not going to the party. "Who would plan a party at that time, who would ever go" Well we did and we had fun. I am a bigger football fan then most but I am an even bigger fan of 2 little boys who wanted to go to a friends birthday party.
